Founder & Head Coach

I began coaching around 2010 because I wanted to give more netball opportunities to girls in the Bolton area. What was initially a handful of girls quickly grew as word spread, 20 became 40, then 75. Sam Inman and I hired more court time and split age groups, and now we offer training to over 250 girls from Year 2 to senior level.

Nothing makes me prouder than watching Rivington players realise their potential. Seeing their skills, friendships and confidence grow on and off the court is what keeps me going.

Junior Coach

I coach junior netball at RNC because I enjoy helping young players build confidence, develop their skills, and learn the value of teamwork. It’s rewarding to support their growth on and off the court. I never had the opportunity to join a club as a child, so giving our girls this chance and watching them grow gives me a feeling of pride I can’t describe.

My proudest moments? Watching my daughter Abi receive the Laura Parker award in 2017, then Lily Dawson in 2024, both for coaching the younger girls.

Junior Coach

I started coaching at Rivington in 2021 after moving to Bolton from South Wales, where my Aunty ran the netball club my mum played at. I help coach the youngest of our players. Alongside teaching them the tools and skills, I want them to find the love and passion for the sport that’s been such a big part of my life.

My proudest moment? The first ever match my first ever team played. Even without a goal, seeing them work together as a team was amazing.

Junior Coach

I joined Rivington as a junior in 2007. I made friends for life and grew so much as a player. The coaches made me the netballer I am, so I tried coaching in the hope I could influence a young player the way my coaches influenced me.

My proudest moment was watching my U7 team’s development. They worked so hard, lost games, never gave up. Then scored their first ever goal. I couldn’t have been prouder, not for the goal but for the wonderful team they’d become.

Junior Coach

I joined Rivington in 2015 wanting to try a new sport, and 11 years later here I am coaching my own Rivington team. Through netball I’ve met so many influential people who’ve made me who I am today.

I started coaching in 2022 once I became a primary school PE teacher, they’re the two things I love the most: teaching children and netball. My proudest coaching moment was when my U7s won their 3rd match 7-0.

Junior Coach

I began coaching in 2026 after being a junior volunteer since 2022. It’s quickly become something I love. Netball has always been a big part of my life. Coaching lets me share my learning while giving back to the club that supported me throughout.

At just 16, I’ve been trusted with my own group and they’re already doing so well. Seeing their progress motivates me to keep improving.
